English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD)

Mannum Community College provides an EALD program that supports students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who are learning English as an additional language/dialect.

Students are aided within their classroom environment, and directly through support staff working individually and intensely with them to improve all aspect of English language knowledge and practice.

Importantly students are tracked throughout their schooling to ensure their pathway to English proficiently is suitable and meets their needs.

The ultimate goal is to enable all students the opportunity to access post-secondary school options, whether that be study or work, and be successful.
