Agriculture

The Mannum Community College Agriculture program began in 2018 after a 20 year hiatus. The program is a choice subject undertaken for students in years 9 to 12 to build and develop practical skills which will better prepare them for possible future employment in the agricultural sector.

The agriculture program is supported by local businesses and individuals, building links to the wider agriculture industry. Mannum Community College agriculture program focus is on relevant skills highlighted by industry, for agricultural enterprise to provide a more authentic teaching and learning program. Students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills through various practical activities undertaken on the 13ha school agriculture facility.

Equipped with a shearing shed, almond grove and broad acre sites, the agriculture facility is in constant development to continue to build a relevant and practical agricultural experience.
